How this fluency works

A fast, correct first answer in the latest full assessment counts as fluent. Fast means 3.0 seconds or less after rounding to the nearest tenth: 3.049 seconds counts, 3.050 does not.

A slow or incorrect first answer also counts if attempt 2 is fast and correct AND the previous full assessment was fast on the first try for that problem. Two assessments both needing retries do not qualify. Flagged answers and invalid times cannot establish fluency.

One full assessment can demonstrate 100% · Fluent!!. There is no minimum number of assessments or waiting period. After seven days, fluency turns gray until a full reassessment refreshes it. Practice does not change this signal.

Sequence 62 (and older Sequence 61) and paired Split 64/44 A+B within three days count when their full first pass and hard facts are covered. New structured plans rotate easy facts toward those least recently assessed. Unasked easy facts are estimated when the sampled category is entirely fast on the first try. Once fluent, easy facts retain their evidence when omitted from later assessments; a new incorrect or slow answer is checked again against its previous sampled first answer. Flagged answers do not erase prior easy-fact fluency. Partial, undated and future-dated assessments do not count. Each operand order is separate.
